Terms of Use
Last updated 29 September 2026 · closed pilot
These terms apply when you use Osler during its closed pilot. They're short on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them.
1.What Osler is, and isn't
Osler is a study aid for medical students. It is not medical advice, and must never be used to make decisions about a real patient.
Its explanations, notes, questions and flashcards are generated by AI from your material and your department’s sources. AI can be wrong. Your department’s lectures, books and staff are the authority for your exams.When Osler and they disagree, they win, and we’d like to hear about it.
2.Your account
- Access is by personal invite. Your account is for you only: don’t share your login or pass your invite on.
- Give a real email address you control. Sign-in codes go there.
- We may pause or close an account that breaks these terms.
3.What you upload
- It stays yours. You let Osler store and process it only to provide the service to you (and, for material you add to the shared Sources library, to other students in that subject).
- Upload only material you’re allowed to use for your own studies, and never anything that identifies a real patient.
- Don’t upload anything illegal, abusive or someone else’s private information.
4.Osler itself
Osler’s software, design, and the way it builds plans, notes, questions and flags are the work of Alie Samy and are protected by copyright (Egyptian Law No. 82 of 2002). You may use Osler for your own studies. You may not:
- copy, scrape or bulk-download its content or question banks;
- reverse-engineer it, probe its security, or try to reach other users’ data;
- resell access, or use it to build a competing product;
- overload it on purpose, or automate use beyond normal studying.
5.The pilot
Osler is free during the pilot. Features can change, break or be removed, and the pilot can end. We’ll tell you before anything that affects your data. If paid plans come later, nothing is charged without your explicit agreement.
6.Responsibility
Osler is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee either. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for exam results, lost study time or decisions made using Osler’s output.
7.Privacy
How we handle your data is in the Privacy Notice, which is part of these terms.
8.Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Questions or problems: aliesamy4@gmail.com.
